Taking Care of Business

Everyone is just getting back into the swing of things from the holidays so just easy things and really just a few reminders. Or, as Elvis would say, just taking care of business.

  • Remember that our first meeting is just a little over two weeks away. If you need more information on that January 16 meeting, check out this link: The Big Skinny on our Big First Meeting.
  • Mark your calendar now for our February 20 meeting. As with all of our meetings, these are for adults AND kids so please be sure to bring yours.

The start time for both meetings is 6:30 p.m. Both are at Olentangy High School, 675 Lewis Center Road.

Much peace, happiness and joy to you in 2013. Wishing you wonderful networking through ODN, too. Great things are ahead for all of us.

COBIDA: Please Take a Bow

There are so many to thank for their support of ODN and we have tried to offer those in spades.  However, one organization that continues to inspire us and to provide tremendous support is COBIDA.

Thanks to COBIDA, we are able to show the film The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia on January 16.  COBIDA has purchased the film and is not only providing this showing to us for free but is doing so throughout central Ohio in numerous other school districts.  They have a full schedule ahead so if you miss our showing and panel then be sure to catch an upcoming one at another nearby venue.

In addition to the film, COBIDA is contributing a few panelists and informational materials to the event.

ODN has been able to accomplish so much in a short period of time.  However, none of this could have been done with their help and the help of so many others.  So, this New Year’s Day, we wish to offer a special thank you to COBIDA.

See you on January 16th!

Our February Meeting: Because Planning for One Meeting Just Isn’t Enough

Yes, you read that right.  Basically, we are starting the new year off right!  The response to ODN has been so overwhelming and a myriad of ideas are already brewing for meetings and topics.  So, mark your calendar now for Feb. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Olentangy High School.

So what will the February meeting be like? We’re still working through prospective topics and activities but we can tell you it will be more social for the adults and our kids.  That’s something that the January meeting and format cannot provide but for which we are all so ready.  So, mark your calendar now!

Also, for those who have recently joined us, please check out this site for more information on our January 16 meeting.  The entry, titled, “The Big Skinny on our Big First Meeting!” was posted on November 30 but the information is still the same.  Check it out and hopefully we will see you there!
