Just like our kids, ODN is on summer break!
We are still around so if you need help in any way please do reach out. We will not, however, hold meetings during the summer. We resume with our regular third Wednesday of every month schedule starting August 20 September 23!
Be sure to catch us then. In the meantime, rest up and have a great summer!
ODN kicks off the school year with a meeting on August 21, 6:30 p.m. at Heritage Elementary (679 Lewis Center Road).
We are pretty excited because this is our very own ODN Curriculum Night. We’ll hear straight from the district all that they are doing to serve our K-12 dyslexic students. So, come prepared to listen and bring your questions!
Also at the meeting we will honor the student winner of our ODN logo contest. His fish design was inspired by the anonymous fish bowls that we use each meeting to answer questions from the kids.
As a final aside, we are growing and getting bigger! It is all pretty exciting but it also means that it is time that we move forward with establishing bylaws and board elections. We will tackle this at our next meeting, too.

This committee will explore the diversity — racial and otherwise — and it is a very real way to make a difference for our dyslexic kids. Please, please consider applying and do so very soon. When you do, note on your application that you are part of the Olentangy Dyslexia Network. That will be important for the district to know when determining the makeup of the committee.
